Welcome To the KI-Infection Network!
The KI Infection network is a newly formed initiative at KI. The ambition of the network is to strengthen infectious disease research by promoting research collaborations and exchange of information. We hope the network will give you many advantages. The bigger the network, the more the members will gain from it. This home page will provide easy access to information related to infection biology research at KI. The Infection Biology course program will be part of the network and you can find more information about this under the heading Education.
The KI Infection Network aims to promote interactions between scientists working in all disciplines of infectious diseases. The mission of the Network is to act as a hub for infection biology-related information and to highlight interesting news and events.
We envisage a continuously evolving, dynamic network and we therefore invite all members to provide frequent updates to the databases and to announce events that are of general interest. It is the members that make the network!
We will also announce events at KI pertaining to research on infectious diseases i.e. important seminars, courses relating to infection biology, grants that are available for application and other news. The network plans to issue its own grants for members to encourage further interactions.
KI Infection will work actively with the Postgraduate Program in Infection Biology to organize joint retreats and enhance education in the area of infection biology. KI Infection will also assist in identifying opportunities where members can apply for joint funding in strong constellations and to act as a communication link with the Board of Research at KI with regard to recruitment policies in infection biology-related subjects. Our ambition is to build on the excellent tradition of KI and to ensure that infection biology remains a strong discipline at KI for decades to come.
Reminder:
Please let us know if you have nice new publications or if you make the cover of a journal so we can advertise this on the home page. Just alert us at info@ki-infection.net and we'll post the news without delay. Thanks!
